Well most people I know in arranged marriages don't really feel they have the option to leave their spouse. They are expected to stay with them for life or they will be culturally shunned....so yes.Do you think that couples who had an arranged marriage last longer than couples who choose who they marry?

With an arranged marriage, its a duty more than it is a pleasure. People are obligated to marry and raise families. Its not based on love like Western marriage is and it doesnt fall apart if the love is nolonger there.





Im not condoning arranged marriages, but i think they last alot longer
surprisingly... yes. we watched a video on arranged marriages in one of my sociology classes.





apparently although they don't build their relationship on love first, they have a much lower divorce rate. maybe because their marriage is based on necessity, and cultural pressures etc.
I think that it has been proven that they do....I'm of the opinion that it is purely cultural, all you have to do is look up the rate of divorce in North America and compare it with the rate of divorce in a country such India or Japan. if you need more info just give me the word lol
Most arranged marriages are due to religious beliefs. Commonly, these beliefs disagree with divorce. I would say that arranged marriages last longer, though that says nothing about whether they're happy or not.
Hell, 50% of marriages end in divorce in this country and arranged marriages couldn't be any worse. I think they have a better success rate because that is how they were raised. They know that one day it is going to happen
not at all, I think in an arranged marriage, once they live together and learn about each other..........they might not be so happy with each other
