In our case, My husband came with a 2 year old who we have had full time. We have agreed that if we split I will keep custody of ';his'; son , so him and his half brother and 4 step siblings can still be together. Most of the time the kids will go with the parent that brought them into the marriage. On rare occasions, the step parent gets the kids.
After the divorce, the kids can stay in touch via phone, texts, card and letters...and get together once in a while.What will become of step-siblings if couples get divorced?
The step siblings can still remain close friends regardless of the situation if they desire too.
