You have to wait 6 weeks. Your doctor checks you out at 6 weeks and will give you the go ahead if everything is ok.How long after child birth do most couples wait to have sex?
4-6 weeksHow long after child birth do most couples wait to have sex?
I asked my OBGYN after having my 1st child how long should I wait and she said the 4-6 week thing...But I asked her why and she said well for the first few weeks your body needs to heal and then for the next four weeks it is 10x more likely that you can become P.G. I said 10x? And she said yes...you would be supprised on how many women come in for their 6 week visit and are expecting AGAIN!!!! So it is up to you!!!!
2months
I think you are supposed to wait 6 week's but i only waited like 2 and i'm still alive.LOL
I think the common consensus is correct at 6 weeks but I dont think my wife ever wanted to wait that long.
The doctor told me to wait until 6 weeks after my post op appt.
I waited 4 weeks but doctors say to wait 6 weeks. Just depends on your body I guess!
Six weeks is recommended by OB/GYNs; at that point, you'll go in for a post-partum exam. Some couples don't wait that long, but I think most do - postpartum bleeding, sleep deprivation and adjustment to a new family size aren't exactly romantic.
six weeks, and if you dont wait you could get an infection
the next day
If oral sex is not included as sex... then see above!
But if a women can do oral sex... then I think it can be very quickly after a childbirth...
Althought, I really don't know... I don't have kids and I got no experience with this. But I think this is a very interested question.
typically its usually 6 to 8 weeks depending on the health of the new mother. if there is no pain or residual bleeding and the mom says she wants to, go for it! Just remember that sex is an expression of love between couples so dont force the issue keep it what it is a gift to be shared not a chore.
