Just wondering. When a guy asks a girl to be his girlfriend in college, does this mean they've already been doing it, or will do it soon, or is it normal for them to hold it off for 1-2 months?Do COLLEGE couples ever hold off doing it for a few months?
No, I think making him wait for ';it'; makes him try harder while dating you....don't give it up so quickly...make him give t=you respect forst---if he ditches you--well he was only there for one reason...Do COLLEGE couples ever hold off doing it for a few months?
I met my current boyfriend when we were in college, and I was actually a virgin (had a string of really awful boyfriends in high school...who'd want to sleep with them?).
We were actually dating for a couple of months before having sex. We were doing other things, but not having sex. It was just better for me, and he was willing to wait. I personally would rather wait for a couple of months after dating a new guy to sleep with him, but I suppose it's up to each couple.
The thing is, it should be the decision of both people involved. Both people have to be 100% ready to have sex (no matter what age or how many times you've had sex before). If your partner isn't willing to listen to that and meet you halfway, then you shouldn't be sleeping with him anyway.
The right answer is -not- to do it the way everybody else does it. In areas like that, everybody is usually doing it wrong.
Talk everything over, communicate, think things through together. And what's the rush?
Don't have a relationship just like everybody else. Do it better and more nicely than anyone has ever done it before. Reinvent dating.
I don't think you can make generalizations like that. Every couple's different.
I would wait for 6 months to 1 year before I have sex and that is only because I expect to get married after 6 months.
College + Booze=Bastardizes Babies, yummeh
Me and my boyfriend are in college, dating for 8 months and not planning on having sex, EVER. (I'm waiting till marriage)
I GO WITH THE MARRIAGE WAITING THINGY
Some do Most dont
Well hey. You don't *have* to have sex.
