Do couples who hook up via internet have marriages that last?

I'm hearing, more and more, of people who married after meeting online. How long do their relationships, on the average, last?Do couples who hook up via internet have marriages that last?
No different than meeting them in a shopping centre or at a wedding.

No relationships are guaranteed or have a time limit, it is up to us.Do couples who hook up via internet have marriages that last?
The problem here is that these Internet relationships aren't old enough to be able to answer that question. The Internet is really only about, effectively, fifteen years old and to describe a marriage as one that has lasted, you have to go out twenty-five to forty years! So the answer is, no one can answer that. But, however, probably, maybe, the answer is they have as much chance as any other way. In some states, the good old fashioned way of dating, living together and then getting married is providing only a 50% success ratio, how much worse can Internet dating be?
No. Four of my five marriages were through Internet services. The only one that lasted is the one where I met the woman at a bar in Panama City when we were both on a vacation. We have been happily married for seven months...and it just keeps getting better. She is making so much money at her job (professional exotic fantasy dancer) I rarely get nagged about a job. She works some long hours but when she comes home she is ready to party.

Stay AWAY from the Internet if you want a meaningful relationship...much less a marriage.
Those relationships have as much longevity as people who orignally met offline. How people meet has little to do with how long they may be together. The internet is just another tool folks can use to meet others...the relationship still has to develop offline.
We've been together 3 years, married 2.

But we met in a chat room, not a dating site, and we are in our forties, 2nd marriage for both of us.

Seems like fate to us!
The same as the relationships of people who meet via other ways - it varies.
My mom has been married to a wonderful man for 4 years now. They met on E-Harmony. Their relationship isn't perfect but I see it lasting.

Christian- wow you sound like a real winner (NOT)
i met my husband on line and we have our ups and downs but we did bring in one son into this world and soon to be one daugther and we have been together for 2 years
A small percentage do, it depends on the couple and if they really found what they wanted.
It's different with every couple. Most last but on the other hand most don't either.
Even though we are not married, my boyfriend and I have been together for 8 years and we met online.
some last 4 life
