Why do so many teenage couples feel like they should have sex?

Id like some thoughtful answers from people who had sex at eg: 15,16 to a boyfriend or girlfriend.





Why is sex so important in relationships? Yay to virgins like myself.Why do so many teenage couples feel like they should have sex?
in my opinion, sex is the basic natural drive in human life. most young teenagers are the ones who still do not think further away of the positive-negative, present-future and consequences. the lack of sex education at early stage, the stereotype that being a virgin is shameful, and the exposure of porn entertainment drive young teenagers easily influenced to have sex.Why do so many teenage couples feel like they should have sex?
nothing is wong with virginity.... horny teenagers that's pretty much it...
YAY to YOU!! I once did a report on this very subject. A lot of teens answered they felt pressure from the bf/gf to have sex or break up. A lot of times the fear of a break up can encourage the sex. Horniness and ';things got out of hand'; are common reasons. Curiousity is another reason. I will say keep waiting!! I had friends and sister who lost under 15, one was 13 and they all say they wish they had waited. ONe friend was 14 her first time and she ended up marrying him and they have been married for years but they both agree they were too young, even though they have only had each other. I was not married the first timebut I was older and I have only had sex with one person, my husband, and he can say the same about me and we both agree it was well worth waiting for!! Neither of us have any regrets. Sex is so important in younger relationships because teens are so uncomfortable in their own skins that they seem to want to do anything to keep even one person on their side. Even if you find that someone, wait! I am not going to preach about waiting until marriage but there is no hurry to lose your virginity. You have the rest of your life to have sex and only a short time to be a virgin!! Again, Kudos to you and be strong! The pressure to lose your virginity is not as bad as the remorse you will feel if you lose it too early or to the wrong person!!

some people are just reading to have sex at 15 etc, i guess some people are more sexually mature you could say.
because they think that is just the next step in a relationship its like they are playing house they want to act grown and do grown up things. when i lost my virginity it was because i wanted my bf to know how much i liked him and i thought he was the perfect guy to lose it to. teenagers are growing up quicker and exposed to sex earlier and since its socially acceptable, they think why not? they don't understand the consequences and the emotion that comes with sex. kudos to you for being a virgin!!!
different people have different beliefs and come from different backgrounds, where what may not be acceptable to you is very acceptable to someone else. sex feels good to everyone and is a natural thing. how early an individual decides to have sex is totally a personal decision and cannot be stereotyped by the multitudes, such as most teens as you say. maturity, feelings, situation, etc. all come into consideration

but, i guess becayse everyone is doing it is probably a big pressure point for them.


They could actually think that they really love this person, and absolutly know, for sure that they are going to have sex. Personally, i won't do it, until im really sure, which means after marriage.


But it could also be the pressure. The pressure that ';we should do this, because we really love each other';


Which is really stupid, because lots of relationships end like right after some times, when they were sooo certain that htey were in love nad spending the rest of your life.

I totally agree with you. Sex is supposed to be a sacred bond between a husband and wife, and kids are doing it younger and younger. All the power to virgins!
