Try the old chapel inn, near bigbury on sea in devon. Smashing place and lovely rooms. The South Hams are close by, Dartmouth, Plymouth, lots to see or try the Woolacombe bay hotel in North Devon, super place with long peaceful beaches, loads of facilities and a nice place to stay. Or have a weekend in Bath, again a lovely city for a romantic weekend.

Sounds cheesy but look on the tourist information web site and pick a place as far south as you can be bothered to drive, and go!
Bournemouth area sounds sad, but has some great clubs (if that what you want) and some great hidden treasures really close by; Studland beach, Cofe Castle, Johnathan Ross.

Hastings,St Leonards on Sea etc all lovely places for a weekend away for a young couple
