keeping your relationship a secret from your parents is most of the time the right thing to do, If you are young like under 18 and your parents are really strict... try talking to them about it and just hang out with the person.. but if you are older and keep things on the down low.. thats probably the best thing for you.. at least in the beginning.. its awkwardly strange for the spouse to meet the parents on the first date or the second or even the 10th. Give it sometime for the two of you before you go ahead and invite mom and dad in your relationship too. well..my parents are crazy strict indians and they believe in arranged marriages...so i have to hide my relationship with my english man lol it sucks!!!
depends on your age. but its always good to be honest to your parents, if they dont like it, then there is probably a good reason.
